Devin Harris participates in Mavericks & HDNet Winston Science Boat Competition

Mavs guard Devin Harris kicked off the Cardboard Boat Competition portion of the Dallas Mavericks & HDNet Winston Science Light Event held Saturday, September 15th at Fair Park. Physics students used Harris’ height and weight to successfully create the seaworthy SS Maverick. Harris and his shipmate completed a half course in less than 3 minutes! Materials used to create the boats were limited to cardboard, duct tape, hot glue and rope. This “Light” event served as a precursor to the larger Winston Science Event Competition in the fall.
