DALLAS–The 2006-07 Dallas Mavericks season tips-off on Monday, October 2 for its annual media day at the American Airlines Center starting at 2:30 pm.  Following media day, the Mavericks head north to the University of North Texas for training camp.  They will hold three straight days of practice on campus and conclude with a scrimmage on Friday, October 13 at the UNT Coliseum.  The scrimmage will be open to the all students and faculty of North Texas with a valid university I.D. 

Dallas will hold two practices daily at North Texas beginning on October 3 at 10 am.  The morning sessions will be at the Norval F. Pohl Student Recreation Center, located on North Texas Boulevard between Chestnut Street and Avenue D. The evening practice sessions will be held at the UNT Coliseum, at the southeast corner of North Texas Boulevard and Highland Street.  Media availability will be conducted after the morning practice only.

The Mavericks open their preseason schedule on the road October 10 in Oklahoma City against the New Orleans/Oklahoma City Hornets at 7 pm.  Their first home preseason game is October 12 vs. Sacramento.
