Games to Air in High Definition
For the third consecutive season, Sun Sports and Bright House Networks in Central Florida and Tampa Bay are bringing 10 high-definition telecasts of Orlando Magic games to area cable subscribers starting next week.
The first locally produced HD telecast is scheduled for opening night, November 2, when the Magic host the Indiana Pacers, beginning at 6:30pm with the “Southern Ford Dealers Magic Tonight” pregame show live from the TD Waterhouse Centre in Orlando.

Fans with HD service from Bright House Networks in Central Florida and the Tampa Bay area will have access to these 10 NBA Orlando Magic games this season, as well as 10 HD Tampa Bay Lightning games. The HD telecasts are being offered in these Florida markets by Bright House Networks as part of a national high definition alliance among the Fox regional sports networks. Collectively, the Fox owned and managed regional sports networks are offering a total of nearly 175 local NBA and NHL games this season, providing approximately 525 local hours of HD programming, and making them one of the nation’s most significant producers of local HD programming.
Sun Sports’ HD Orlando Magic and Tampa Bay Lightning telecasts are being offered on Bright House Networks Channel 1000 in Central Florida and Channel 540 in the Tampa Bay area. Information on Bright House Networks HDTV service is available at the company’s website at www.mybrighthouse.com.
Bright House Networks offers this enhanced package of high-def games to HD customers at no additional charge, but subject to availability. Sun Sports and Bright House Networks also continue to offer standard definition telecasts of each of these games as part of the core Sun Sports regional service distributed throughout the region.
