Special Fan Activities and Watch Parties Announced for NBA Finals
Orlando, Fla. – As Blue & White Ignite for the 2009 NBA Playoffs, the Orlando Magic are preparing special activities to ignite fans all over Central Florida for Game 5 of the NBA Finals. Some highlights of the fan activities surrounding Sunday’s game (8:00 p.m. tip-off) will include:
Pre-Game Fan Fest for Game 5 and Official Viewing Party: The Orlando Magic are encouraging fans to support the team before each Magic home game at the new and improved Fan Fest at Amway Arena. Beginning at 5:00 p.m., fans can enjoy live music provided by the Howl at the Moon full cover band with special guest Joey Fatone and improv Magic rap artist Dr. Geek, along with concessions, Stupendous Stu Balloons, face painting, silhouette drawings, a Port-a-Party bar open from the beginning of Fan Fest through the third quarter of the game, free samples of Bud Light Lime and the NBA Jam Van, which features 7, 8, 9 and 10-foot basketball goals, a locker room setup, games and prizes. Fans who do not have a ticket to Game 5 are also encouraged to be a part of the Official Viewing Party outside Amway Arena at Fan Fest, which will feature a 13x10-foot LED Screen, bleacher seating and a live DJ.
Game 5 Fan Activities: For Game 5 of the NBA Finals on Sunday, June 14, Blue & White Ignite T-shirts will be placed on every seat at Amway Arena and 18,000 Light-Up Thunderstix will be distributed at the doors. The national anthem will be performed by 7-year-old Gina Marie Incandela, the Russian Bar Trio will perform at halftime and Magic Live in-game entertainment will be provided by the Orlando Magic Dancers, the Dunking Dancers, the 3D Dancing Dancer Dads and the Rhythm ‘n’ Blue Drum Line.
