Magic Launch "Blue & White Ignite" For 2008 NBA Playoffs

    Orlando, FL – The Orlando Magic announced today its exciting, new brand theme to tip off the 2008 playoffs: “Blue and White Ignite.” It’s time for the Magic, the fans and the community to jump into the excitement of the 2008 NBA Playoffs.

    Orlando qualified for the NBA playoffs following its March 15 victory over Indiana, accomplishing the first of several team goals. Following their 101-86 victory over the Cavaliers in Cleveland on April 5, the Magic conquered another goal by clinching the No. 3 seed in the Eastern Conference playoffs, securing home-court advantage for the first round. They will host the No. 6 seed in the East in the first round.

    The Magic encourage its fans to show their spirit and wear BLUE and WHITE to IGNITE the team in the 2008 NBA Playoffs. To get the latest and most up-to-date information surrounding the Magic throughout the playoffs, fans can go to www.blueandwhiteignite.com, designed specifically for the Magic’s 2008 playoff run.

    Some other highlights for the 2008 Orlando Magic Playoffs, presented by the Department of Transportation and Pepsi:

  • For playoff game one, 9,000 blue and 9,000 white “Blue and White Ignite” T-shirts will be given away, along with 18,000 rally rackets.
  • For playoff game two, 9,000 blue and 9,000 white “Blue and White Ignite” T-shirts will be given away, along with 18,000 thunder sticks.
  • There will be more emphasis on sixth man fan involvement.
  • A new opening introduction video for the playoff games.
  • The new and improved Fan Fest, presented by Sun Sports, will take place on the north side of Amway Arena for all home playoff games. One of the new features is a Legend’s Lounge autograph area with Bo Outlaw and Nick Anderson. The fan fest will also feature a Budweiser beer garden. This will be a huge fan zone with a tailgate atmosphere that will give fans a reason to arrive early for the festivities.
  • The NASCAR Grill will be the official watch party location for all road games in round one.

    Single game tickets for the 2008 Orlando Magic playoffs will go on sale to the general public Monday, April 14 at 10 a.m.

    Fans who purchase full season tickets for next season by calling 407-89-MAGIC have the ability to purchase playoff tickets for this season. There are 5,365 tickets priced $25 or less and a limited number or prime locations remain.
