Amway Center Sneak Peek Photos
January 1, 2012
Amway Center will be the home of the Orlando Magic and will be the venue of many other spectacular concerts and events.
The Orlando Magic will host their first preseason game at Amway Center on October 10 against the New Orleans Hornets, while the 2010-11 regular season home opener will be on October 28 against the Washington Wizards.
Unlike the old arena, which had an exterior made mostly of concrete, the new design incorporates a 20,000-square-foot, glass-front entryway facing Church Street and a 151-foot glass tower facing Interstate 4.
The Amway Center was designed to reflect the character of the community, meet the goals of the users and build on the legacy of sports and entertainment in Orlando.
The building features a sustainable, environmentally-friendly design and unmatched technology featuring 1,100 digital monitors and the tallest high-definition scoreboard in an NBA venue.
Inside the Amway Center, everything is new from the front row to the rafters. There will be bigger seats and better sight lines.
Amway Center will be one of the most advanced ever built, highlighted by the main scoreboard the largest of its kind in the NBA.
Concourses will be spacious, offering unique concessions and activities for kids and adults alike.
Located on the South end of the Terrace Level and one of the most prominent features of the concourse is the Budweiser Baseline Bar.
Can never go wrong with tacos and ice cream at a ball game.
Founders Suites are accessed via private VIP elevators to an exclusive suite holders concourse.
Each suite provides a plush lounge area and fixed seating for 12 with extra wide plush theater seats and 4 additional bar rail stools overlooking the bowl.
This will be an excellent spot to watch a Magic game with your family and friends.
The Magic will have their very own practice court at the Amway Center. This is where Orlando's NBA championship quest begins.
The Mercedes-Benz Star Lounge, located on the event level near the Orlando Magic locker room, is the exclusive destination for Courtside and Superstar season ticket holders during Orlando Magic home games.
Amway Center will be the home of the 2012 NBA All-Star Game.
STUFFs Magic Castle, presented by Club Wyndham, is a children's play area on the Promenade Level. Take pictures with STUFF pregame, or visit during the game so the kids can climb through STUFF's castle and play all kinds of games.
