Magic Suffer Loss
All-Star Kevin Garnett put together a man-sized effort against man-child Dwight Howard.
Garnett had 27 points and 19 rebounds and Ricky Davis scored 26 points as the Minnesota Timberwolves posted a 103-91 victory over the Orlando Magic.
In a matchup between two of the league's elite power forwards who never attended college, Garnett and rising star Howard squared off for the second and final time this season.
The 20-year-old Howard had 15 points and 12 rebounds for his 52nd double-double. But Garnett outdid him in every statistical category, holding advantages in blocks (two), steals (three) and assists (six) as he registered his league-leading 57th double-double.
