Orlando Magic construction partners for the New Orlando Events Center will hold the second in a series of informational subcontractor/supplier forums June 26, 2008, at 5:30 p.m. at Carter Tabernacle Church (1 South Cottage Hill Rd, Orlando, FL 32805).

The forums will help to educate local and MWBE enterprises about construction opportunities for the new Orlando Events Center, while allowing participants to network and have a chance to learn about the subcontractor and supplier bid process.

This second forum will focus on the following areas: pile caps, footings, tie beams; deep underslab plumbing and electrical utilities; concrete superstructure and slab-on-grad; structural steel, catwalks and metal deck; structural pre-cast seating; elevators and escalators; steel stairs; electrical and plumbing embedded items.

The Orlando Magic’s construction partner is Hunt Construction Group in association with Rey Group, R.L. Burns Inc., HZ Construction, Inc. and Albu & Associates.

The Orlando Magic is the developer of the new downtown Events Center which will compete to host major national events, concerts and family shows. Opening in Fall 2010, the facility will be operated by the City of Orlando and owned by the Central Florida Community.
