2010 Orlando Magic Black Tie and Tennies Charity Gala presented by
Each year Central Floridians come to this landmark event for one reason and one reason only: the kids. For the fourth year in a row, the 20th Annual Orlando Magic Black Tie and Tennies Charity Gala presented by Bright House Networks, was held at the JW Marriott-Grande Lakes. It was sophisticated, chic, and filled with exciting games and auction prizes to raise money for the Orlando Magic Youth Foundation. This year the gala featured a karaoke stage, a dance floor, and a display of silent and live auction items and generated more than $400,000.
The Orlando Magic would like to thank all the dedicated Magic staff, gala event staff, and volunteers who made this event possible. With the ultimate goal of benefiting the youth of our community, each person involved remained focused on the time at hand. Because of their time and dedication, this year’s gala was a huge success. Also of note, Dwight Howard was honored at the Gala with his third consecutive Rich & Helen DeVos Community Enrichment Award, which honors a Magic player who has dedicated his efforts off the court for the purpose of enhancing others’ lives.
The Orlando Magic Youth Foundation is committed to helping children in Central Florida realize their full potential, especially those most at-risk, by supporting programs and partnerships that empower families and change lives.
