Attention, all golfers! Mark your calendar for the 2009 Orlando Magic Championship for Charity Golf Tournament, benefiting the Orlando Magic Youth Fund, a fund of the McCormick Foundation. The event will be held, Friday, September 25, 2009, with a shotgun start at 9:00 a.m. The Orlando Magic Youth Fund (OMYF) will host this year’s charity golf tournament at Reunion Resort at one of the Arnold Palmer Legacy, Tom Watson Independence, or Jack Nicklaus Tradition golf courses.

The 2008 Golf Tournament sold out with over 250 golfers and netted, along with the inaugural Orlando Magic Youth Fund Tee Off Party held at Luxautica Car Club, more than $148,000. The McCormick Foundation matches net proceeds at 50 cents on the dollar, increasing the impact of the event proceeds. In addition, the Orlando Magic and the McCormick Foundation cover all administrative costs.
This year’s event is also expected to have over 250 participants, including Magic players, members of the coaching staff, and the Magic Dancers! Orlando Magic TV and radio personalities will also be in attendance.
