Oladipo said he was focused on having a good game after looking mostly out of sync Wednesday in Houston. Against the Rockets, he missed nine of 12 shots and had some brief trouble with his matchup against all-star guard James Harden. He was determined to make Friday’s game a bounce-back night and show that he could respond to struggles.
``Games like that are going to happen. It’s a game and nothing is ever perfect,’’ he said. ``But you want to be perfect and when you have games like (Wednesday in Houston) it’s frustrating. But we have good people around us here in this organization who help us realize that it’s just growing pains. I’m just going to take it one game at a time and keep going.’’
Second-year forward Maurice Harkless is one of those in the Magic organization who has stayed close to Oladipo to give him advice throughout the preseason. He said it’s impressive the way that the rookie has kept his poise and continues to fight through games whether things are going well or not.
