PREGAME INFO

Last Season’s Results: The Magic enjoyed great success against the Pacers, winning all three of the meetings.

Nov. 20: Dwight Howard tallied 25 points and 12 rebounds and Jameer Nelson connected on a go-ahead three-point play in the final minute to secure a Magic victory.

Jan. 26: A balanced effort steered the way as seven Magic players scored in double figures in Orlando’s thrashing of Indiana.

April 13: On the final night of the regular season, the Magic limited the Pacers to 30 percent shooting from the floor and 74 total points to complete the season sweep.

Key Matchup: Dwight Howard vs. Roy Hibbert

Every year it seems there is some contention between Howard and Hibbert. Dwight is a proven superstar and has consistently dominated Roy, while the Pacers center is always discussed as one of Howard’s main challengers in the paint.

In both meetings this week, Tuesday at Bankers Life Fieldhouse and then again on Sunday at Amway Center, it should be a war in the middle between these two.

Instant Analysis: The Pacers are one of this year’s surprise teams and with two games against them this week; this is the perfect opportunity for the Magic to deny Indiana from gaining any further momentum.

Especially if Orlando and Indiana should face off in the playoffs, it’s imperative for the Magic to make sure the Pacers don’t start to believe they can contend with them in a seven-game playoff series should it come to that.

Other Notables: The Magic have won five straight meetings and 11 of the last 13 between the two clubs. Orlando has won nine of the last 11 matchups at home and five of the last eight meetings in Indiana.
