ORLANDO -- The Orlando Magic announced on Saturday they have decided not to submit a Qualifying Offer to forward DeQuan Jones. As a result, Jones will become an unrestricted free agent on July 1.

Jones went undrafted out of the University of Miami last year, but his impressive preseason play with Orlando was rewarded when the Magic included him on the 2012-13 regular season roster. In 63 games, Jones averaged 3.7 points and 1.7 rebounds per game.

Jones, however, will suit up for the Magic’s Summer League squad at the Southwest Orlando Pro Summer League, which is scheduled to take place at the practice court of Amway Center from July 7-12.

Meanwhile, the Magic intend on guaranteeing E’Twaun Moore’s salary for next season.

Moore made significant strides in his first year in Orlando and second season in the NBA. Mostly serving as a backup to Jameer Nelson, the combo guard adapted well to his role as a playmaker and facilitator.

Moore played in 75 games last season, started 21 of those and finished with averages of 7.8 points, 2.7 assists and 2.2 rebounds per game.
