ORLANDO – As the No. 6 pick in last week’s NBA Draft, Jonathan Isaac knows that there will be certain expectations placed upon him when he tugs on his Orlando Magic jersey for game action for the first time in the Mountain Dew Orlando Pro Summer League later this week.

But the 19-year-old forward insists that he isn’t about to rush things or force the action just to try and impress basketball fans.

``Definitely I want to come in and try to make an impact right away. But at the same time, I don’t want to force it and try to do too much,’’ Isaac said last week following his introductory news conference in Orlando. ``I want to have fun and win – even if it’s a Summer League game.’’

Isaac’s debut with the Magic will come on Saturday when the six-day, 20-game Mountain Dew Orlando Pro Summer League tips off at Amway Center’s practice court. The event will feature teams from the Charlotte Hornets, Dallas Mavericks, Detroit Pistons, Indiana Pacers, Miami Heat, New York Knicks, Oklahoma City Thunder and Magic.

Due to space limitations, the event is not open to the public. Fans can access box scores, game recaps and cumulative stats on OrlandoMagic.com. All the summer league games will be televised on NBATV.

Unlike in years past, the Magic will field just one team in the summer league. Orlando made the 6-foot-10, 210-pound Isaac the No. 6 pick after he averaged 12 points, 7.8 rebounds, 1.5 blocks and 1.2 steals in his lone season at Florida State. He is projected as a small forward at the NBA level, but he can guard four positions and play some at power forward and center on the offensive end because of his blossoming size.

Isaac will be one of six lottery picks from last week’s NBA Draft who could see action in the summer league. Orlando’s Isaac (No. 6 pick), New York’s Frank Ntilikina (No. 8), Dallas’ Dennis Smith Jr. (No. 9), Charlotte’s Malik Monk (No. 11), Detroit’s Luke Kennard (No. 12) and Miami’s Bam Adebayo (No. 14) could play in the event. Ntilikina’s availability is uncertain because he is still competing in playoff action in his home country in France.

Isaac headlines an Orlando roster that includes 2017 Magic second-round pick Wesley Iwundu and 2016 Magic second-round pick Stephen Zimmerman. Patricio Garino and Marcus Georges-Hunt, who both signed with the Magic last April, will also play for Orlando’s summer squad.

Tyler Harvey, the 51st pick of the 2015 NBA Draft by the Magic, is back in camp with Orlando for a third time. He spent last season playing for Torino of the Italian League. Kalin Lucas, Shevon Thompson and Stefan Jankovic – members of Orlando’s D-League affiliate in Erie, Pa. last season – will also play for the Magic’s summer league squad.
