ORLANDO – The Boston Celtics and Cleveland Cavaliers will continue to battle for the right to advance to the Eastern Conference Finals Thursday at 8 p.m. ET. Meanwhile the Orlando Magic will have the luxury of sitting at home and wondering which team will be their next opponent.
Although it could be as late as Sunday evening before the Magic discover who they will face in the next round of the 2010 NBA Playoffs, the league released these scenarios today in regards to potential dates and times for the Eastern Conference Finals:
-- If there is a Game 7 in the Cleveland-Boston series then the Eastern Conference Finals will begin on Tuesday, May 18 at 8:30 p.m. either in Orlando (vs. Boston) or in Cleveland (vs. Orlando).
-- If the Eastern Conference Finals move up to a Sunday, May 16 start because the Boston - Cleveland series is completed in six games, Game 1 will be at 3:30 p.m. in Orlando (vs. Boston).
