ORLANDO -- Orlando Magic center Nikola Vucevic isn’t just some overnight sensation as he grew up around professional basketball and with a father who played in Europe for 24 seasons.

And he isn’t a dominant rebounder just because he is 7-foot tall; he has spectacular instincts, a high basketball IQ and the kind of soft hands usually only seen on NFL wide receivers.

And his tremendous growth as a post-up player for the Orlando Magic isn’t just coming about by happenstance; whether he was in Orlando, his native Montenegro or playing for his National Team, Vucevic spent his entire offseason repeatedly drilling on post footwork, up-and-under moves and hook shots with both hands.
