When rookie Victor Oladipo first joined his Orlando Magic teammates for offseason workouts, he was familiar with only one player on the roster, and that person didn’t spark particularly good memories.
It was guard E’Twaun Moore, who had repeatedly gotten the best of Oladipo in the Big 10 a few years back when Moore was a senior at Purdue and Oladipo was a freshman trying to revive Indiana’s program. Even though the two had some heated battles in college, Oladipo quickly bonded with Moore because to him the veteran guard was a proven commodity with his toughness and ability to make big shots.
``I love E’Twaun. He used to kick my butt in college, but I don’t want to talk about that,’’ Oladipo said with a hearty laugh. ``I’ve been knowing E’Twaun for a while. He’s the kind of person who is always great to talk to and he always has great advice. I’ve been a fan of his since he was in the Big 10 and he’s a great player. To be able to play with him and learn from him now, it’s a great opportunity.’’
