MIAMI -- To a man, the Orlando Magic’s players said they welcomed Saturday night’s rematch against the two-time defending champion Miami Heat following a disappointing and humbling result on Wednesday.
Sure, wanting to the face the Heat might be akin to tugging on Superman’s cape or challenging Mike Tyson to a fistfight. But a prideful and intensely competitive Magic squad desperately wanted another shot at the champs to prove that they can compete with any team in the NBA, even the best of the best in this instance.
Riding the emotional return of Glen ``Big Baby’’ Davis, Orlando was as impressive as it has been this season early on, surging ahead by as much as 16 points and matching LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and the Heat basket for basket down the stretch.
