ORLANDO – It was hardly the perfect night, as it rarely ever is for rookie players in the NBA. But when Orlando Magic guard Victor Oladipo was good on Sunday night, he was really good and making the kind of electrifying plays to spark his team to a victory.

There was the time when Oladipo knocked the ball free and dived on the floor for a steal. There was the chase-down block where he swatted the ball into the crowd and later a jaw-dropping, spinning layup in transition. There was a perfectly executed pick-and-roll that he ran to get the Magic a dunk. And finally, there was the streaking dunk during a game-turning 9-0 run that finally put the Magic over the hump.

Orlando fed off the infectious energy of Oladipo and got several contributions from all over the roster to rally in the fourth quarter of a 109-102 defeat of the Atlanta Hawks.

``I feel like that’s the best way that I can help my team, doing a little bit of everything,’’ Oladipo said. ``I feel like God has blessed me with the talent to do that, so I’ve got to make sure that I use (that talent) every day.’’
