Orlando Magic rookie Victor Oladipo stepped onto the parquet floor at the Amway Center for the first time on Friday, and then proceeded to treat the dazzling venue as if he were right at home.
It was just a preseason game and most certainly more impactful games will come, but Oladipo’s home debut at the Amway Center couldn’t have gone much better on Friday night for three quarters of the game. Oladipo shot the ball well, had a dazzling follow-up dunk early in the night and ran the team well, but Orlando couldn’t slow down Cleveland rookie Anthony Bennett in the fourth quarter and lost 110-105 to the Cleveland Cavaliers.
``That was my first time in the arena and I love it already,’’ Oladipo said. ``It’s a shooting gym even though I missed a few shots at the end. It’s a beautiful gym and I’m fortunate to have the opportunity to play in it.’’
