ORLANDO -- When the Orlando Magic convened six weeks ago for the start of training camp, head coach Jacque Vaughn told the team that one of the most important missions of the season was to better defend the home court.

Though there’s only a small sample size available, the Magic have followed through quite nicely on Vaughn’s wish of making the Amway Center a difficult place to play for opponents.

All four of the Magic’s victories thus far have come at the Amway Center, and they hope to add a fifth home win when they host the Dallas Mavericks on Saturday night. Having the comfort of expecting to play well at home does a lot for the psyche of the young Magic (4-5), second-year center Kyle O’Quinn said.
