Even though Mickael Pietrus is no longer on Orlando’s roster, he’ll always be a member of the Magic family.

That’s why after news reached Orlando’s locker room late Friday that M.P. had been carted off on a stretcher during Boston’s game against the Philadelphia 76ers, players quickly tried to take a look at the video and send prayers Pietrus’ way.

“I’m going to send up some prayers for him,” Quentin Richardson said.

The Celtics swingman crashed to the court and landed hard on his tailbone after colliding with 76ers guard Lou Williams with 5:08 left in the second quarter.

Pietrus instantly rolled over in pain, grabbing the back of his head.

MP was hospitalized and listed as having a questionable closed head injury.

The nine-year NBA veteran spent two and a half seasons with the Magic. He was an integral part of the team’s 2009 Finals run, averaging 10.5 points per game during the postseason.
