Twas the morning of Christmas
Twas the morning of Christmas, and all through the Amway Center house,
Many creatures were stirring, even Minnie and Mickey Mouse.
The banners were hung by the rafters with care,
In hopes that an NBA Championship banner soon would be there.
The Orlando Magic players and coaches were up early out of their beds,
Because visions of a win against the Celtics were dancing through their heads.
And Stan in his button down and the Fat Guy in his Santa cap,
Were too busy on Christmas Day for a long winter’s nap.
When out on the court there arose such a clatter,
Fans dashed to their seats to see what was the matter.
A man was standing there, very tall and with might,
They knew in an instant, it must be Dwight!
On Jameer, on Gilbert, on JJ and Jason!
On Ryan, on Quentin, on Hedo and Brandon!
The sprinted up and down the court, stopping only for the refs’ whistle,
And they ran away with the game like the down of a thistle.
But I heard them exclaim, as they left the Amway Center and drove out of sight,
Merry Christmas to all, and to all a goodnight!
