Who do you think has the better chance to become an NBA All-Star, Maurice Harkless or Tobias Harris?
Josh Cohen's Analysis: You could argue that if you only sampled action from after the All-Star break, Harkless could be a legit candidate for Rookie of the Year. And you could also claim that since he was traded to the Magic in late February, Harris could be a justifiable nominee for Most Improved honors.
Both still have a lot of improving to do to become All-Star caliber players, but if Harkless can refine his offensive repertoire and if Harris can become a more proficient jump shooter, they both have a chance to be elite in this league.
Since Harkless' style very much resembles Paul George, who emerged as an All-Star this year, there is proof his gifts can transform him to that status. Harris, similarly, has a work ethic that is hard to rival and his potential in becoming an All-Star is growing by the day. But again, both have modifications and enhancements to make before then.
