#8 Brian Shaw (1994)
With Penny Hardaway blossoming and ready to accept more challenges as a franchise point guard, it was necessary for the Magic to trade Scott Skiles and find a more appropriate backup. Though he wasn’t dazzling in Boston or Miami – his first two stops on the NBA circuit – Shaw’s blend of maturity and skill was plenty to help an emerging team in Orlando. He played some significant minutes during the Magic’s Finals run in 1995.
