Magic's Biggest Rival?

While the Magic have not necessarily had the “fiercest” of rivalries during their 25 years of existence, they have had a few wars with a compilation of teams.

Though they only have played the Heat once in the postseason, the sheer geographical component makes Miami an inevitable adversary to Orlando.

Considering the Magic are the only team between 1991 and 1998 to knock Michael Jordan out of the playoffs, Orlando’s feud with Chicago deserves recognition.

In recent years, the Celtics have become a rival of sorts to the Magic. Boston and Orlando played against one another in the playoffs in two straight seasons, 2009 and 2010. The Magic also closed the Boston Garden for good with their playoff series victory over the C’s in 1995.

And finally, the Magic’s most exasperating opponent, the Pistons, remain an iniquitous challenger in Orlando. Detroit eliminated Orlando from the playoffs in 2003, 2007 and 2008.
