Victor Oladipo vs. Michael Carter-Williams

Cohen’s Analysis: It didn’t take long for these two budding stars to develop a rivalry with one another. Though they just missed competing against each other in high school – MCW’s St. Andrews team played and defeated DeMatha a year after Oladipo graduated – they would end up squaring off shortly after.

It started last year in the NCAA Tournament when Carter-Williams – 24 points, five rebounds and four steals – and his Orange raced past Oladipo – 16 points, three rebounds and three steals – and the Hoosiers in the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament. It continued in Summer League action last July when V.O. got some revenge with a game winning shot over the reach of MCW.

And now Carter-Williams and Oladipo are the prizes of the 2013 draft class and most recently became the first pair of rookies to record a triple-double in the same game.
