DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR

#1 Roy Hibbert – He is the enforcer and intimidator of the best defensive team in the league. Indiana ranks No. 1 in points allowed, continuously suffocating opponents into submission. Hibbert also has the most blocks (78 after 29 games).

#2 Serge Ibaka – Never renowned for their defensive prowess, the Thunder have gradually evolved into a dependable defensive squad. The head anchor of this top 10 defense is Ibaka, who is top three in blocks and one of the more feisty players in the paint.

#3 LeBron James – It was a goal of LeBron’s this season and he has certainly put himself in the conversation. James’ relentlessness on defense and ability to guard any position makes him a legitimate candidate for this award.
