“Well yes, it has been a long process to get this deal done. But I’m very excited about being in Orlando, and back to Florida once again. It’s an hour and a half from where it all started, in Gainsville. I’m just looking forward to the season and taking advantage of what’s going on.”

“This is a great chance for me to reach my goals and to win championships. We have great players, Doc, and we’re putting great things together here. I just want to be a part of it.”

“I bring lots of energy and hustle. I just want to do the small things to win ball games.”

Where else were you looking, and why Orlando
“I was also looking at going back to Denver, which is where I was last year. But I feel that there was a better experience in coming to Orlando since they have lots of great players and they are putting together something special.”

“I talked to him a week ago. I started with Juwan as a rookie. He has been leading me on, and he is a good component to my life.”

Expectations of team
“They have been giving me my role, and what I’m expected to do on the court. And they welcome me here, and I’m very glad to be here.”

Seasonal goals
“First and foremost, I want to make it to the Eastern Conference Finals. Second goal is to win a championship. My only goals are team goals.”

Have you scratched the surface of your potential
“I feel like I’m not where I need to be now. I have a long way to go and a lot of learning; hopefully, I will get in there and learn it.”

What part of your game have you been working on
“I’ve been working on ball handling, and I’ve been shooting a lot of free throws.”

Fitting in
“I feel that it’s a group of young guys, a young staff, and it takes me back to my college days. So I feel like I fit in perfectly here.”

Compare college to pro
“It’s similar in a lot of ways. If you are not playing hard basketball, then you’re not doing what it takes to win ball games.”

Playing with T-Mac
“It’s very exciting. I had the chance to talk to him at the Magic Johnson game, and that went well. So I’m looking forward to it.”

Career Development
“I’m not disappointed with my development. I feel that I still have a lot of developing to do. Leaving Florida three years ago, it’s something that I don’t regret. I’m at a point in my career where I still have a lot of learning to do. But, I’ve learned a lot in the last three years from players like Juwan and the rest of the guys. Overall, I feel that I improved a lot.”

Do you watch college games and think you could have been dominating
“Of course I go back and watch my game when we played Michigan State. But, no I don’t regret my decision. I’m just ready to move on.”
