Outlaw Supports Special Needs Children

Orlando Magic forward Bo Outlaw will be joined by Mayor Richard T. Crotty and his wife Pam, along with Mayor Buddy Dyer and his wife Karen at the Fourth Annual Nathaniel's Hope Make 'm Smile Event.

The event will take place at the Lake Eola Amphitheater in Downtown Orlando on Saturday, June 3, beginning at 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and is free and open to the public.

Some of the planned activities include the Buddy Stroll from 8-10 a.m. where VIP kids and their families will be "buddied up" with other kids and families for a fun stroll around Lake Eola. Bo Outlaw, along with Rich and Pam Crotty, will be walking with the children from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

Every registered participant will receive a visor, free food, goodies and drinks, a keepsake "Buddy" photo, gift bag and Chick-Fil-A certificate. There will also be clowns, face painting, arts and crafts and balloons. In addition, the first 2,500 participants will receive a free T-shirt.

Other activities include informational exhibits, where VIP kids and their families can visit many informational booths and exhibits to get acquainted with organizations and businesses that offer resources and support to them. Other festivities include a family concert with The Goads and Chick-Fil-A sandwich/lunch.

Nathaniel's Hope is an Orlando outreach organization dedicated to sharing the hope with kids with special needs and their families. Marie and Tim Kuck established Nathaniel’s Hope in honor of their son, four-year-old Nathaniel Timothy Kuck, who was born with multiple special needs. Nathaniel proved to be a "miracle boy" beating the odds and overcoming many health challenges before he passed away in 2001. The Kucks believe Nathaniel’s “purpose in life” is fulfilled by reaching out to VIP families and celebrating special VIP kids through this Make ‘m Smile event.

The Fourth Annual Make ‘m Smile event is dedicated to celebrating, reaching out to and loving kids with special needs (VIP kids) of Central Florida. This community-wide event will provide fun, entertaining activities to support VIP kids and their families.

Central Florida families are invited and encouraged to bring their children and attend this free event, “to be a buddy” and walk around Lake Eola with VIP children and their families.
