Orlando’s Newest Crossing Guards
Orlando Magic players Jameer Nelson and Keyon Dooling were up bright and early on Wednesday morning to make sure Orlando-area children made it safely to school.
The Magic duo served as crossing guards at Thornebrook Elementary School in nearby Ocoee. Nelson helped children cross the street, while Dooling greeted parents and children as they arrived at the school.
Both Nelson and Dooling also helped with the school's morning announcements.
This is the second straight year both Nelson and Dooling have served as crossing guards at a nearby school. Last year, both players joined teammate Tony Battie in helping children arrive at school in a safe manner at Metro West Elementary School.
