Magic sign four; Prepare for camp
Free scrimmage for fans on Saturday, October 9
The Orlando Magic will hold their 2004-05 training camp at the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, beginning Tuesday, October 5. It marks the seventh time that the Magic have held camp at UNF.
In addition, the team has signed four players prior to opening camp. Orlando has signed free agents Earl Barron (C, 7-0, 270, Memphis 03), Corsley Edwards (F, 6-9, 275, Central Connecticut State 02), Jemeil Rich (G, 5-10, 170, SMU 97) and Ajani Williams (F-C, 6-10, 235, Eastern Michigan 99).
Practices will be held at the UNF Arena from October 5-9 and are closed to the public. All times and length of sessions are subject to change. The team will also hold a free scrimmage on Saturday, October 9, beginning at 6:30 p.m.
On Sunday, October 10, the Magic will return to Orlando and hold a closed practice at the TD Waterhouse Centre at 12 noon. The team will then host the Great Seat Rush (Select-A-Seat event), a fully interactive experience with Magic players participating, from 2-5 p.m. Activities include shooting on the court, autograph opportunities, dance clinics, photos, and more. Fans will also have the opportunity to see and purchase seats that are still available for all ticket plans during the upcoming season.
Orlando begins the preseason on October 12 vs. Memphis. The Magic open the 2004-05 regular season on November 3 vs. Milwaukee. The complete schedule is available through the teams official web site: orlandomagic.com.
Season tickets are available through the Orlando Magic Box Office at (407) 89-MAGIC. Tickets range in price from $10 to $84 with 12 different price points and prime locations available. There are 7,313 seats priced under $30 per game. Single-game preseason tickets are also on sale, while individual regular season tickets will go on sale on October 11.
