Magic Serve as Crossing Guards
Less than 12 hours after putting a stop to the Charlotte Bobcats, the Orlando Magic took their defensive efforts to the streets.
As part of the Magic's commitment to the community efforts, Magic players Jameer Nelson, Tony Battie and Keyon Dooling, along with Stuff and the Magic Dancers served as crossing guards on Wednesday morning at Metro West Elementary School in Orlando.
Keyon, Stuff and a Magic Dancer helped children cross the road at one corner, causing a bit of a backup with traffic at times as people paused to see the communities newest crossing guards. At the other corner, Jameer, Tony and a Magic Dancer stopped traffic and made sure each child safely made it across the street.
Along with making sure each child was free from harms way, the players, Stuff and Dancers also signed autographs. Once the last child has crossed, Tony and Keyon went inside the school and helped out with the morning announcements.
