Magic Open Team Shop at Florida Mall

Orlando, FL – The Orlando Magic will expand its retail operations by opening an Orlando Magic Team Shop kiosk at Florida Mall. The Grand Opening will take place Saturday, September 17 from 10am-3pm and Sunday, September 18 from 2-4pm. In addition, as part of the Orlando Magic’s “Commitment to the Community” efforts, Dwight Howard will sign autographs from 1:00-1:45pm on Saturday.

The Team Shop is located between Macy’s and Harry and David at Florida Mall and is adjacent to the ‘Kid’s Play Area’ which is also sponsored by the Magic. There will also be a TicketMaster terminal at the shop where fans can purchase game tickets only. Florida Mall sees over 14 million visitors a year, both locals and tourists.

Over the last two years, the Magic has actively expanded its retail operations responding to merchandising trends in pro sports and basketball in particular. Two seasons ago, the team launched orlandomagicshop.com, its online retail outlet. And, in addition to the kiosk, the team will sell gift cards at almost 500 Publix, CVS Pharmacy, and Racetrac locations in a 75 mile radius of Orlando (including Tampa). The cards will be available in $25 and $50 denominations and can be used to purchase both merchandise and tickets.

Grand Opening festivities include story time with the Magic Dancers, coloring, clowns, balloon art, basketball clinics, open shooting, autographs, game worn memorabilia and more.

Available merchandise ranges from jerseys, hats, T-shirts, key chains and more. The shop can also produce personalized jerseys. Log on to orlandomagicshop.com to see full selection.
