‘Slamming Summer’ first airs on September 23, while Season Preview debuts on October 16

Orlando, FL – Orlando Magic: Slamming Summer, a recap of the team’s busy off-season, will first air on Sun Sports on Saturday, September 23, beginning at 9 p.m. The show will also air 12 other times state-wide prior to the start of the 2006-07 season (see dates/times below).
The 30-minute program will take a look back at the hectic summer schedule for the Orlando Magic players, coaches and staff. From basketball camps and community events in Central Florida, to the NBA Draft, to the FIBA World Basketball Championships, the Magic continued their commitment in many different ways during the summer. Host David Steele will be joined by Head Coach Brian Hill, General Manager Otis Smith and former player and new Community Ambassador Nick Anderson to discuss the recent off-season and what Magic fans can look forward to for the upcoming campaign.
Also airing state-wide on Sun Sports will be an Orlando Magic Preseason Special, hosted by Paul Kennedy. The special will first air on Monday, October 16 at 8 p.m. and will replay 11 more times during the month (see dates/times below). This 30-minute show will feature interviews with Head Coach Brian Hill and first round draft pick, J.J. Redick, a look at Orlando’s two young big men, Dwight Howard and Darko Milicic, and will have insight from Magic television announcers David Steele and Matt Guokas, as well as Sun Sports’ Whit Watson.
