Criss Angel “Mindfreak” to headline the Magic’s Opening Night entertainment on Wednesday, November 2nd

Orlando, FL - As part of the Orlando Magic’s commitment to the community efforts, the Magic invite their fans to enjoy a fun-filled evening as they open their 17th season by hosting the Indiana Pacers at the TD Waterhouse Centre. Throughout the night, the “Magic Live” brand of entertainment will excite, engage and electrify the audience, with highlights that include:
- The first 15,000 fans will receive Thunderstix sponsored by Pepsi.
- As with all Magic home games, fans will be given access to the surrounding court area to seek autographs from players from 6-6:30 p.m.
- Criss Angel “Mindfreak”, who recently premiered the first weekly magic series in 40 years on television (on A&E Network) and was also recently named the 2004 Magician of the Year, will headline the halftime performance. He will perform his Houdini-like straight-jacket escape while being suspended from the arena rafters.
- The Maitland Little League Baseball Team will be honored in a special on-court presentation in the first quarter.
- The UCF Marching Knights will highlight a unique player introduction.
- Miss America 2004, Ericka Dunlap, will perform the national anthem.
- An expanded pre-game FanFest will include “Stir Crazy” performing outside on the Budweiser True Music Stage on the North side of the arena.
Activities begin at 6 p.m., while tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. Fans are asked to be in their seats by 6:50 p.m. to fully enjoy all of the opening night game entertainment.
