Halloween-Themed Activities to Include Trick or Treating for the Kids, Costume Contest, Pumpkin Carving Contest and More

Blue Man Group Headlines Opening Night Festivities

Orlando, FL - One of the most popular acts in entertainment will be performing as part of the Orlando Magic's 2007-08 opening night festivities on October 31. Blue Man Group will perform at halftime as part of a Halloween-themed opening night for the Magic, who look to get the season off to a positive start against the Milwaukee Bucks.

Blue Man Group is best known for their wildly popular theatrical shows and concerts which combine music, comedy and multimedia theatrics to produce a totally unique form of entertainment. The blissful party atmosphere created at their live events has become the trademark of a Blue Man Group experience. Currently, their live stage shows can be seen in New York, Boston, Chicago, Las Vegas, Berlin, Amsterdam, Oberhausen and Orlando. Those attending the game will receive Halloween-themed Thunderstix to help cheer on the Magic to victory. Fans sitting in the O-Zone, powered by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Florida, will also receive Blue Man Group Blue Glow Sticks (first 2,500). In addition, the Bethune Cookman College Drumline, who were recently featured on the movie “Drumline,” The Ellen DeGeneres Show and on EA sports 2005 and 2006 NCAA Football video games, will headline the opening introductions.

On the concourse, the Magic jetBlue Crew will be parading around in costumes and there will also be trick or treating at many table displays. Outside at Fan Fest, the Bud Stage will be rocking with the band Trans Ams, while Stupendous Stu will be entertaining with his creative balloon art and face painting. Other activities include sign making, Magic tattoos and stickers, a pumpkin carving contest, costume contest and more.

O-ZONE, powered by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Florida

The Orlando Magic would like to introduce the O-Zone, powered by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Florida, which is located in sections 201-236 of the Amway Arena for all Magic home games. As a member of the O-Zone, fans will enjoy exclusive giveaway nights, special prizes and contests with the Magic jetBlue Crew and performances by Momentum, the Orlando Magic Pep Band. The Time is Now to come celebrate the Magic’s young and electrifying team. Fans are encouraged to get on their feet, make some noise and cheer the Magic to victory in the new O-Zone. Activities begin at 6 p.m., with tip-off scheduled for 7 p.m. Fans are asked to be in their seats by 6:50 p.m. to fully enjoy all of the opening night game entertainment.
