WHO: Hedo Turkoglu, Orlando Magic,10 local youth from the Parramore Kidz Zone, Toni Shinn (Outreach Director, Parramore Kidz Zone) Brett Myers (District Sales Manager, Kia Motors)

WHAT: Kia Motors and Hedo Turkoglu of the Orlando Magic will present a brand-new 2009 Kia Borrego seven-passenger SUV to the Parramore Kidz Zone immediately following shootaround on Saturday. Kia Motors is donating the Borrego on behalf of Turkoglu as part of winning the 2007-08 NBA Most Improved Player Award presented by Kia Motors. The Orlando Magic previously made a $250,000 pledge the Parramore Kidz Zone, a grassroots initiative which provides positive, preventative programs for local youth in Orlando.

Turkoglu will meet with local youth from the Parramore Kidz Zone at the RDV Sportsplex practice facility to present the new Kia Borrego and hand over the keys to the vehicle to group leaders from the organization. In addition, Turkoglu will give the group tickets to Saturday evening’s game where they can cheer for the Orlando Magic as they take on the Washington Wizards.

Kia Motors, an official partner of the NBA and the Orlando Magic, donated a Borrego to the charity of choice of each of the four year-end award winners in 2008 as part of the “The NBA Performance Awards Presented by Kia Motors.” The awards, which are part of a multi-year marketing partnership between Kia Motors America and the NBA, also include the Most Valuable Player, Sixth Man Award, and Defensive Player.
