Bright House Networks Customers in Central Florida Will See This Friday’s Miami Heat at Orlando Magic Game Plus 28 More Magic Games This Season on FOX Sports Florida

ORLANDO (December 31, 2008) – FOX Cable Networks and Bright House Networks today announced a multi-year affiliation agreement that will bring the regional sports network, including its season-long coverage of the Orlando Magic, to Bright House Networks customers throughout the Central Florida region beginning tonight.

The next Orlando Magic game scheduled on FOX Sports Florida is this Friday, January 2, when the Magic host the Miami Heat at 7:00pm.

Terms of the agreement were not announced. The statewide regional sports network will launch on Channel 50 on Bright House Networks in Central Florida as part of the system’s standard cable lineup tonight, making the channel widely available at no extra package cost to fans throughout the region.

In addition, the agreement provides for distribution of FOX Sports Florida’s high definition telecasts for Bright House’s HD customers on their HD Channel 1000, including HD games for the Orlando Magic, Florida Marlins, Tampa Bay Rays and select nationally-distributed Pac-10 and Big 12 football and Pac-10 and ACC basketball games.

FOX Sports Florida features year-round coverage of Florida’s hometown teams and programming tailored specifically to sports fans in Florida. The network’s current lineup includes 35 Orlando Magic games along with season-long coverage of the Tampa Bay Rays, the Florida Marlins, the ACC including FSU and UM games and programs, select University of Florida games and programs, original series such as “Inside the Rays” and “Inside the Marlins”, the FHSAA football and basketball championships, plus a strong national sports lineup from FSN including The FSN Final Score, Best Damn Sports Show Period, ACC, Pac-10 and Big 12 games and much more.
