ORLANDO, Fla. - At the second annual event for premium season ticket holders, the Orlando Magic teamed with premium corporate partner, Mercedes-Benz, to put together a night to remember for all in attendance at the Amway Arena on Friday, September 12th.

The Mercedes-Benz Evening of Luxury catered to 221 guests who were greeted at the door with a gift bag containing a three day/two night stay at any Wyndham Resort’s 24 properties, a one-year golf membership to the prestigious Sugarloaf Mountain Golf Club and a Mercedes-Benz discount.

Once inside the main arena the guests were greeted by the soothing sounds of Orlando’s String Trio and the sights of Piaget watches and the brand-new 2009 Mercedes-Benz C-Class that would be given away as a one-year lease to a lucky premium season ticket holder.

Guests were able to mingle with Orlando Magic senior staff and new rookie sensation Courtney Lee, while enjoying first-class food including assorted varieties of risotto, crab cakes, slow roasted and herb ribbed steamship, artisan breads, assorted dessert shots and banana’s foster with vanilla bean ice cream.

The official program was kicked off by emcee for the evening Magic television Play-by-Play announcer David Steele introducing the Magic’s COO Alex Martins to say a few words about his enthusiasm for the up-coming season and new Events Center, followed by General Manager Otis Smith, who expressed his approval for the newest signings of the 2008-09 season and introduced Courtney Lee to everyone in attendance.

Otis Smith raved about Orlando Magic’s first round draft pick Courtney Lee saying, “Courtney is the type of guy you want to bring home to your daughters. I have never seen a rookie as polished as he is and as confident about who he is as a young man.”

It was evident that Lee was the highlight of the night and he was equally excited to meet Orlando Magic’s premium season ticket holders saying, “I had a chance to meet some of you all here tonight and I look forward to many years to come in Orlando.”

With the evening coming to an end, Steele took the stage once again to announce the winners of the exclusive door prizes. Two Orlando Magic Dancers drew names while Steele announced the lucky winners of his and her Paiget watches, exclusive Tommy Bahama gift package, a $350 Forte Salon and Spa package and two 5-day/4-night stays at the luxurious St. Thomas and Oahu Wyndham Resort.

The evening was capped off by the highly anticipated drawing of the one-year lease to the 2009 Mercedes-Benz C-Class, which was determined when five drawing winners attempted to start the high-class car.

Wade Oney was the lucky owner of the key that started the brand new 2009 Mercedes-Benz.

The second annual Mercedes-Benz Premium Evening of Luxury was truly a night to remember for everyone in attendance.
