  • Lauri Markkanen is a 7-footer that consistently makes threes. He shot 42 percent from downtown at Arizona this past season. He can catch and shoot, pick and pop and pull up. He’s even capable of shooting off screen, which is rare for a player his size.
  • Markkanen has good body control and balance when he puts the ball on the floor. While’s not incredibly athletic, agile or explosive, Markkanen has good footwork and poise when searching for his shot. His length allows him to shoot even when a defender contests.
  • While he currently lacks strength and isn't much of a post-up threat, Markkanen has developed a solid pick-and-roll game. He’s a good screener and he’s very alert when he rolls to the basket. He’s talented enough to also be the ball-handler in pick-and-roll situations (makes good decisions).
