MAGIC GET THE NO. 1 PICK
The NBA Draft Lottery began in 1985, and 19 years later, continues to draw a crowd of NBA die hard fans. There were 1,001 possibilities for how it would all lay out. The first three picks were determined by the Lottery. The expansion Charlotte Bobcats have the fourth pick and the remainder of the "Lottery Teams" select in positions five through 14. In the last 14 years, only twice has the team with the worst regular season record in the prior season ended up with the 1st pick in that summer's Draft.
