Vucevic and the Magic (4-6) get their first crack at the two-time champion Heat on Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the Amway Center. The Magic center demolished the Heat’s smallish frontline last season, averaging 21.7 points and 21 rebounds in three games against Miami. Vucevic scored 20 points or more in all three games and had two 20-rebound games.

With Vucevic on the floor last season, the Magic outrebounded the Heat by an average of 12 boards a night over three games. In the one meeting in which Vucevic could not play because of the effects from a mild concussion, Miami won the rebounding battle by one. So having Vucevic at his best clearly gives the Magic their best chance of stunning the Heat on Wednesday.

``Sometimes the game kind of unveils itself and (Vucevic) was able to use his effectiveness of getting up and down the floor and really going after every rebound,’’ Magic coach Jacque Vaughn said of his center’s strong play against the Heat last season. ``Sometimes lineups give credence to that and him sometimes being the only big on the floor. Different variable fit into it, but he had a good matchup against Miami.’’
