Moore made two 3-pointers, got to the free throw line twice and handed out two assists in Orlando’s game against Cleveland on Friday. And on Wednesday against New Orleans, Moore has a nice runner in the lane and two more assists.

Moore got off to a solid start last season with the Magic before a nasty elbow injury tainted his season. Diving for a loose ball last December in Washington, a player landed on his arm and grotesquely sprained his left elbow. He was back in the lineup two weeks later, but the injury affected his shooting stroke the rest of the season.

Still, Moore scored in double digits 28 times last season and had a career-best 18 points three times. Last February in Philadelphia, he had 10 assists to show off the strides that he’s made as a point guard. More of a driver and shooter than a playmaker for others, Moore has worked hard to become a better ball-handler and passer.
