Head coach Jacque Vaughn put his team through more than three hours of work on Tuesday, splitting the time between drills and scrimmaging. It was Vaughn’s first chance to get a look at Oladipo in an official practice capacity and he was impressed with how the rookie handled himself throughout the session as both a point guard and a shooting guard.
Vaughn was asked how his prized rookie fared in his first practice, and the head coach playfully started talking about second-round pick Romero Osby. He was then asked specifically about Oladipo, and he said both rookies got passing marks for their first official NBA practices.
``They made it through practice, their first official practice as a professional,’’ Vaughn said. ``We pushed them. It was good seeing them learn NBA concepts and putting them in NBA situations. Overall, it was a solid day for those guys.’’
