Out the past two games with an ankle injury, Harris came off the bench Sunday night and poured in 13 points and three 3-pointers. The only negative of the feel-good night was when Harris went the floor late in the third quarter after reinjuring his left ankle. Harris limped straight to the locker room and did not return to the game.
``I just came down on (the ankle) real hard where the bruise is at and I felt it,’’ Harris said of his ankle pain. ``I’ll just see how it goes by day by day and see how it feels.’’
E’Twaun Moore added 14 points off the bench.
Vaughn purposely left rookie Romero Osby (two points and three rebounds) and Solomon Jones (nine points, four rebounds and three steals) and Ronnie Price (four points, three assists and two rebounds) on the floor as the Pistons made their fourth-quarter push.
``We need everybody to be prepared to play,’’ Vaughn said of closing the game with backups. ``It could have been three games in four nights or four games in five nights and we had a group in there that I wanted to stay in and finish to see what it feels like. It was a good test, especially with Detroit having their starters in the game.’’
