Magic coach Jacque Vaughn substituted players in five-man groups, and Orlando struggled to find much offensive continuity throughout. The Magic shot just 38.6 percent in the game.

``We played basically two groups and gave them six-minute stretches and we gave them a chance to feel the court a little bit. I saw some good things tonight,’’ Vaughn said.

The Magic got 10 points, nine assists, five rebounds and four steals from Oladipo in 24 minutes. The team was a plus-22 scoring in his time on the floor and he only turned the ball over two times.

Nikola Vucevic, the NBA’s second-leading rebounder last season, showed off his offensive improvement by hitting several nifty hook shots in the lane. Vucevic had three baskets in Orlando’s 10-0 fourth-quarter run and finished with 17 points and nine rebounds.
