When he was in college, Oladipo was put in contact with Wade and the two have communicated often ever since. Two years ago, as the Heat were playing the Indiana Pacers in the playoffs, Wade made the 45-minute trek to Bloomington, Ind., to see Crean and Oladipo was allowed to sit and watch game film with the future Hall of Famer.
``In college I always used to talk to him,’’ Oladipo said of Wade. ``When he was having that little funk in Indy (in the 2012 playoffs), he came down (to Bloomington, Ind.) and he actually left me sit in there and watch film with him. It was pretty cool, and every since then we’ve been kind of close. It will be pretty cool to play against him. … That is just how good of a person he is. He’s willing to give. It’s pretty cool for me to have someone like that.’’
Oladipo got off to a rocky start on Saturday night with four first-half turnovers. After halftime, he entered the game midway through the third period and the ball-handling woes hit him hard again. With the Magic trailing by four points, Oladipo twice slipped in the lane and coughed the ball up. Minutes later, he ran over Monta Ellis on a drive to the hoop, resulting in his ninth turnover of the game.
