Davis' Health Improving

MINNEAPOLIS – Power forward Glen ``Big Baby’’ Davis and guard Doron Lamb made the two-game trip to open the season with the Orlando Magic, giving the team hope that they will soon be fully healthy and back on the floor.

Davis fractured a bone in his foot last January and needed a second surgery in July to set the bone in the outside of his left foot. Davis has yet to go through contact drills, but he is running sprints and getting up shots with the team. The hope is to ramp up his activity level over the next week in hopes that he can soon get back on the floor.

``He’s with us on the trip, he’s been able to work with the coaches some and he’s been able to get his treatment in,’’ Magic coach Jacque Vaughn said of Davis, who averaged career-high numbers across the board last season. ``And he’s been able to be supportive to his teammates as well.’’
