Magic Dancers to Headline Entertainment on Two Overseas Trips
June 11, 2007
The Orlando Magic Dancers and Stuff, the Magic mascot, were recently invited to participate in two NBA Madness events in Taiwan and Puerto Rico. The events will include appearances, autograph sessions, performances and much more.
NBA fans in Taiwan experienced the thrill and excitement of the NBA first-hand this past weekend as the grand opening of an eight-city NBA Madness on the Move tour sponsored by Hanspree, which ran from June 7-10. The six Magic Dancers will participate in press conferences, sponsor appearances, routine performances and autograph sessions during their time in Taipei, Taiwan.
The Magic Dancers then head to Puerto Rico on July 7-8 with an appearance at the San Juan Convention Center. The Magic Dancers, the Magic Dunking Dancers and Stuff will participate in multiple appearances per day. Each appearance will include a performance and autograph session. In addition, the Dancers and Stuff will be doing their fan-favorite dunk shows.
At the completion of this trip, the Dancers will have performed in 11 different countries and Puerto Rico since December 2004.
Because of their discipline, popularity and entertainment appeal, the Orlando Magic Dancers have performed around the world in recent years. They have had the great honor of entertaining our U.S. Troops stationed overseas in Bosnia, Kosovo, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, Iceland, Poland and Norway during three separate Armed Forces Entertainment tours from 2004-2006.
In addition, the NBA has extended special invitations to have the Magic Dancers and the Dunking Magic Dancers perform at various special events and exhibition games in China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Puerto Rico. An absolute fan favorite, the Magic Dancers were even invited by the Turkish Basketball Federation to perform in the BEKO All-Star Game in Istanbul, Turkey in the spring of 2007.
